From there we walked through Guiyang's central plaza and stopped for a coffee/tea break. Highlands Coffee shop provided good drinks and a backdrop for great pictures. She smiled and laughed.
After lunch we told Lydia (in Chinese), that we were he going back to our hotel to nap. Tears quickly followed. She slept during our 20 minute cab ride home but just cried back in our hotel room. For the past two hours, she has quietly played by herself on the floor. A snack trap, some plastic barn animals, and Anna have kept her company.
So far she seems melancholy, observant, and stubborn, too.
